THE STORY

Before the stage,
there was
a story.

A quiet evening beneath the warm lights of a New York restaurant
Finding the extraordinary in the intimate.

There are things I've never quite known how to say.

Perhaps that's why I became a singer.

I was born in a small Romanian village and came to America at seven years old. I grew up between worlds, learning new words for familiar things, discovering that belonging isn't always something you're given. Sometimes, it's something you spend a lifetime creating.

But music never asked me to choose between those worlds.

Before opera houses, conservatories, and concert stages, there was the Romanian Orthodox Church. There were ancient hymns, familiar voices, and melodies that seemed to carry centuries of longing within them.

That was where I first discovered the extraordinary power of the human voice.

At seventeen, I found myself singing in concert with Phoenix Metropolitan Opera. A few years later, before I had even finished my freshman year at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, a livestreamed performance helped lead to my first professional contract with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

I could never have imagined then where music would take me.

From performances across the United States and Europe to the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni in Italy and Chicago, from a fellowship at the Music Academy of the West to my present studies at The Juilliard School in New York City, each experience has become another chapter in a story I am still learning how to tell.

And the most meaningful parts of that story have rarely been about the applause.

They've been about the people.

The stranger who approaches after a performance with tears in their eyes. The listener who recognizes something of their own life in a song. The extraordinary possibility of standing before people whose languages I cannot speak and discovering that, for a few moments, we understand each other perfectly.

I've traveled across countries and cultures with a voice that has often expressed what my own small words could not.

What an extraordinary gift that is.

And what a responsibility.

Today, my artistic life moves between opera, art song, sacred music, and original contemporary soul. Beyond performing, I've founded Euphonya, an endeavor devoted to creating opportunities for musicians and bringing people together through live music.

But beneath the training, the performances, and the ambitions, I remain the same person who first fell in love with the sound of a human voice echoing through a church.

I'm still searching. Still discovering. Still learning to be brave enough to tell the truth through music.

And I am profoundly grateful for every person who has listened along the way.

I don't know everywhere this voice will take me.

I only hope it continues to reach the places words cannot.

For everything left unsaid.
